Let's take another trip down Memory Lane.....

It's another fun look back in time! This week on our Facebook & Twitter pages we have two pictures, the first (circa 1975) shows Stanley Hopper (left) presenting Mr Riley with a Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos clock which is a highly sought-after, intricate timepiece. This was engraved and presented to Mr Riley as a retirement gift.

Stanley Hopper with Mr Riley. Note the lighter and ash tray on the table for customers to use!

Mr Riley was for many, many years a well known face here at the shop and a very loyal member of the team. Mr Riley was considered as Stanley's right-hand man. The picture below shows a gents 9ct gold Omega watch which we bought in just a few months ago. Under the felt, in the box, was the original paper work and shows that this was sold and signed by Mr Riley himself in 1966. So after 54 years of continuous timekeeping the Omega watch has found its way back home to Hoppers Headquarters :-)

The original paperwork found in the box shows this was sold by Mr Riley in 1966 when the shop was located in Strait Bargate.
