Let's take another trip down Memory Lane....

As seen on our Facebook & Instagram pages

This week, we have the front cover of 'Boston The Official Guide' which, from the illustration itself, doesn't look that different to how the Market Place looks today but in fact, this Boston guide is from circa 1936!
A Hopper Shopper kindly loaned us this original guide for us to take some pictures for the Memory Lane section found on our website as we love to celebrate the history Boston has on offer.

As we go through the pages of the guide we come across some familiar faces (and not so familiar!) Here we have G.W Goldson, a ladies and gentlemen's Tailor who were from 'Wellington House' 85 West Street. Does anyone remember this place?!
The opposite advert is someone we know quite well! As the advert shows, this was when we were at our original location in Strait Bargate and what I really love about this advert is the telephone number of '2087' 4 digits long! We obviously took our phone number to 49 Market Place as our phone number today is (01205) 362087
More from this and other guides in future Memory Lanes!
